1. Adjectif :

   • Ordinaire, normal : "bình thường" décrit quelque chose qui est conforme à la norme, à l'état habituel, sans particularité ni exception notable.
   • Moyen, sans éclat : "bình thường" peut qualifier quelque chose de médiocre ou d'indifférent, qui ne se distingue ni positivement ni négativement.

2. Locution adverbiale (employée comme complément circonstanciel) :

   • Normalement, habituellement, d'ordinaire : "bình thường" utilisé en début de phrase ou comme complément indique une circonstance habituelle ou ce qui est attendu dans une situation normale.
